Logo - decisions, decisions, decisions...

Update: Thanks for the responses. In the end, went with a completely different identity mark.... ah, contemplation....

I need your help, all my designer friends:

I am "re-vamping" my collateral/website, which of course, includes the logo. I've gone round and round, and I know this might be shooting myself in the foot, but I'd love everyone's opinion. This means "professional" opinion, of course. (I realize it can be death when a client normally results to asking everyone they know what they think of a logo, but I'm getting the point that I just have to decide and I'd love to hear other's thoughts. Especially other designers!)

So please comment on these...

Hard to tell at this resolution, but I'm leaning towards b. It seems to strike the best balance between the weight of the "S" and the logotype.

Yeah. I'm assuming C is an attempt to mash up an S and a D? Again, hard to tell at this res, but B is hitting the mark better in my book.

I agree, but I like the contrast between the "S" and the logo type in row A too.
